Report on Leslieville Flea

While the start to the day was rather damp, there was a sense of comraderie at the inaugural Leslieville Flea on June 16th. Nestled safely inside our tent which we luckily borrowed from Lucky Patina (you guys saved our lives!), we were pleased to see a lineup of buyers waiting for that 10am opening.

Equipped with funky umbrellas and cute wellies, the folks in the east end were excited and pleased to support a local Flea. Generously organized by Christine Roberts and Brigid Elmy, both of whom not only share an exquisite taste in rustic antiques but also exceptionally well honed organizational skills and a keen business sense, the Leslieville Flea was a complete success!

Receiving yet another spectacular article from BlogTO, the Flea drew many dealers, avid collectors and curious passerbys. The crowd was knowledgeable and the buyers courteous, eager to learn the history behind every object as well as to ensure that the Flea was going to continue on regular basis.

Scandimania received a lot of local support, made incredible sales and ran out of business cards (which has never happened before!) We are thrilled to be able to continue our association with the Leslieville Flea where Scandimania can be found for the remainder of 2013.
